Meet the Team

Sanjay Manandhar - CEO

Sanjay Manandhar

Sanjay founded Aerva with the express intention of bringing an intuitive solution for networks and enterprises to manage digital displays and also allow mobile devices to interact with the displays (indoor, outdoor and the web). He has 15+ years of product development experience, starting his career in software engineering/product development at Siemens, NYNEX and other high tech firms. He has also worked in Europe in finance and advanced product development as VP of Innovation at Rubus, built a team in late 1990’s working on Smart Search, 3D characters with natural language, wireless applications using WAP, SMS and mobile handsets. Sanjay has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and an Master’s degree from the MIT Media Lab, as well as an MBA from INSEAD in France. Sanjay enjoys treks in the Himalayas and across the world.
David Crow - VP, Technology

David Crow
VP, Technology

David is responsible for all system architecture and design of Aerva’s software platform and technology solutions, including Cloud infrastructure and display rendering engines. David is a veteran engineer with 10+ years of software development experience and a background in artificial intelligence, network design, and mobile technologies. Formerly, he worked at the MIT Media Lab, where he developed systems for context-aware multimedia and wireless location detection. David has a Bachelor’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Science from MIT. David enjoys Jiu-Jitsu and is also a gaming aficionado.
Scott Cronin - VP, Interactive Campaigns

Scott is responsible for defining the overall solution served by Aerva’s platform and how the platform integrates into the overall campaign/program objectives. Prior to Aerva, Scott spent his career in business development at agencies such as Omnicom’s DDB, Dentsu, and IPG’s Hill Holliday, as well as at Fidelity Investments. Scott holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and a BA in Marketing from Boston College. Scott enjoys running after his kids, playing sports, social media and traveling.
Jeannette Hon - Director, Product Marketing

Jeannette Hon

Jeannette manages digital display networks (outdoor, place-based or enterprise) from initial concepts to final production, providing expert guidance in content strategy, user experience, and branding. With over six years of experience in interactive digital signage and a background in advertising agencies and marketing, she combines creative and technology into a cohesive execution across multi-channel platforms. Jeannette is a member of AIGA and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston University where she studied Graphic Design. Jeannette enjoys video games and is an expert in social media and cute animals.

Philip Guarascio, Chairman

Phil currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Arbitron, Inc. (ARB, NYSE) a media information and marketing company and is a Board member for Papa John’s (PZZA, NASDAQ), the country’s third largest pizza delivery chain. He is also a Board member of Adspace Networks, Inc., a leading digital media company with screens in the largest shopping malls in the top ten markets. From 1985 to 2000, Mr. Guarascio served as Vice President of Corporate Advertising and Marketing at General Motors where he was responsible for the performance of GM’s “go to market” efforts. He oversaw GM’s multi-billion dollar media spending as well as various corporate initiatives, such as the GM credit card. Mr. Guarascio was the lead executive for sales and marketing for the National Football League (NFL). Phil also served on the Boards of Hot Jobs (sold to Yahoo), Snyder Communications (acquired by Havas) and IAG, an innovative research company (sold to Nielsen in a private transaction).


George is a serial entrepreneur who has founded 12 companies, of which he sold three and took two companies public, including Andover Controls, where he was its co-founder. His career spans three diverse markets: medical devices, aerospace, and industrial controls. George’s leadership and contributions range from technical (patents) to managerial (strategic and operational), to sales and marketing activities. George has Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MIT) and an MBA (MIT).

Steve Goldman

Steve retired from Paramount Pictures Television in 2003 after 23 years. His legacy includes the rebirth of the Star Trek dynasty, the start of Paramount Advertiser Sales, the launch of the UPN television network and transformation of the Paramount Stations Group to the country’s fifth largest. He had a leading role in some of syndication’s most successful programs, including Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy, Arsenio Hall, Maury Povich, Geraldo Rivera, Cheers, Family Ties, Frasier and the Star Trek Franchise. Formerly President of Domestic TV at Paramount Pictures Corp. Steve started his professional life at Ogilvy & Mather in New York in 1966 as a media buyer and planner. He graduated from University of Illinois with Bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Andrew Schulert

Andrew has 30 years of startup and software development experience. He was one of the key people behind Vermeer, creator of the FrontPage web authoring tool. After Vermeer was acquired by Microsoft in 1996 he became a Development Manager and then General Manager at Microsoft, overseeing FrontPage and the initial release of SharePoint. After leaving Microsoft he became one of the first employees at Sonos, where he led the product development organization for five years.

Young Sohn

Young is president and chief strategy officer of Samsung Electronics, and has 30+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry both in Silicon Valley and in Asia and has been the CEO and president of four other companies; in addition, he helped take three other companies public. Young began his career at Intel. Young holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
