In addition to sending in your photos with Aerva Pic2Screen, the Kodak Times Square Billboard is now running Your New York Minute In Times Square with Facebook connect technology developed by Aerva, Inc. 

In partnership with Kodak’s agency, Deutsch, Aerva has launched its Facebook Connect video application on Kodak’s interactive Times Square billboard allowing anybody to submit their Facebook videos to the giant billboard display. Users will decide which videos are shown during New Years Eve by texting Aerva’s SMS Poll2Screen application.

They say everyone has 15 minutes of fame and here is your chance to claim one minute of that! Submit one of your Facebook videos for a chance to have it broadcast on the Kodak billboard in Times

Aerva’s Pic2Screen service was a key solution when Time Warner Cable (TWC) wanted to showcase their new product and service experience at their SignatureHome® event. With their agency, OgilvyEntertainment, TWC staged a beautiful 4-story home in Manhattan decking it out with TWC product and services. The product series is called SignatureHome and service series is called SignatureService®.

Aerva’s picture-to-screen application (with moderation by Ogilvy personnel) enhanced the party atmosphere in a very luxurious home with people’s photos being taken by camera phones and onsite photographers. Pictures were then easily emailed to the Aerva Content Management System (CMS) in the Internet “Cloud.” The CMS allows simple browser-based moderation and approval of pictures. Pictures were then automatically sent to to elegant LCD displays for attendees to see themselves and each other for live action excitement. There was ample branding and descriptions of the TWC home products on the screens with majority of the screen devoted to visitors’ realtime photos.

September, 2010– The Ad Club presented its annual The Maven Awards at the Hynes Convention Center during its Media Innovation Day. Aerva, Inc. and its Picture-to-Screen application running at Kodak’s outdoor LED billboard in Times Square won the “Best use of Out-of-Home” category. Aerva worked with Ogilvy, Kodak’s agency at the time for this project. News Anchor David Wade was the emcee for the awards ceremony.

Attendees from the industry cheered for the winners. This year the nominations grew to over 80 entries for this category making competition fierce and Aerva thanks the judges for their consideration and choice.

Best use of Out of Home
This award recognizes outstanding and creative use of out of home media. The Maven Awards Jury defines “Out of home” to include: billboards, public transit advertisements, mobile billboards & digital billboards. Continue reading
