Aerva at Advertising Week 2009
Aerva was honored to be chosen as the technology and media partner at 6th annual Advertising Week in New York City from September 21-25. Aerva provided the show with interactive content on displays in the New York Times Center, The Paley Center, Highline Ballroom for the Youtube-sponsored Battle-of-the-Ad-Bands and at Tribeca Cinema for the Facebook-sponsored Wrap Party.
The five day event is North America’s premier gathering of cutting edge advertising, media, and digital communications leaders. Aerva powered digital displays that provided simultaneous streams of social networking content from Twitter, Flickr, and RSS as well as mobile interactivity with mobile polling, picture-to-screen and text-to-screen applications to screens at various events.
The Week is a hybrid of thought leadership and special event programming, uniting clients, creatives, media and inspiring figures like Lorne Michaels, Ludacris, Jon Bon Jovi, Jimmy Wales, Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Donny Deutsch, Lewis Black, Chaka Khan, Bob Greenberg, Emeril, Jimmy Fallon, Ziggy Marley and many more.
Advertising Week incorporated events organized by 27 trade associations, including the Interactive Advertising Bureau, which conducted its annual MIXX Conference and Expo.
The conference introduced its first annual, daylong Mobile Advertising Program, exploring advertising, content and technology in the hot mobile sector.
Advertising Week is governed by an independent Board of Directors led by Co-Chairs, Chuck Porter (Crispin Porter + Bogusky) and Linda Sawyer (Deutsch) and President Nancy Hill (4A’s). Day-to-day, Stillwell Partners, led by Matt Scheckner along with Jillian Mellone and Lance Pillersdorf, work year-round to pull Advertising Week together. The Week also enjoys strong organizational support from more than 30 major industry trade associations.
